Teaching philosophy

I feel as though teachers play a very important, though under appreciated, role in each child's life. Teachers leave a lasting print on their students so it is up to the teacher to leave a message of caring and confidence.
My goal as a teacher is to make each child live up to their full potential. I want to use a variety of techniques to fully be able to reach each child the way in which they learn best. I hope to provide enriching visuals for my visual learners and interesting texts for those who learn best through reading. I intend to find appropriate audio aids as well to keep students interested. I also hope to be able to be flexible enough to adapt my lessons for students with individual differences.
I fully believe, especially with elementary school students, that it's important to include many fun activities and kinesthetic learning activities. Children learn best when they don't realize they are learning and most students learn best by actually doing something so I hope to be able to utilize this to help them learn everyday things in a fun way.
